8:00 AM: Meet your guide.

Embark on your canyoning adventure by starting with a journey from Ratnapark to Sundarijal, which typically takes approximately 40-60 minutes. It’s vital to meet your guide at Sundarijal Bus Park precisely at 8:00 AM. Rest assured, our guides are seasoned professionals with extensive expertise in canyoning, dedicated to assisting you in preparing for this exhilarating expedition while ensuring your safety and overall enjoyment. To ensure a seamless experience, kindly arrive on time and remember to carry your passport or citizenship documents, accompanied by two passport-sized photos. Attire yourself in comfortable clothing and suitable shoes that can withstand water exposure. Additionally, remember to pack a towel and a change of clothes. Once you rendezvous with your guide, they will skillfully lead you to the Chhango camp, where the real adventure begins.

 

8:20 AM: Depart to camp

After meeting your guide at Sundarijal Bus Park, you will depart on foot for Chhango camp, a short 10-minute walk away. The camp is conveniently located, allowing for easy access and a swift transition to the next phase of your adventure.

 

8:30 AM: Breakfast at camp

Upon reaching the camp, at 8:30 AM, you will have some time to relax before indulging in a satisfying morning meal. Breakfast options include your preference for tea or coffee, accompanied by a selection of tasty snacks.

 

9:15 AM: Receive a safety briefing from your guide

At 9:15 AM, your guide will provide you with a comprehensive safety briefing. They will emphasize the importance of the “Leave No Trace” principle, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Additionally, your guide will introduce the canyoning equipment, explaining its purpose and demonstrating how it will be utilized throughout the adventure. They will highlight the various benefits of canyoning and discuss essential safety measures to adhere to. Following the introduction, your guide will provide you with the necessary canyoning equipment to wear.

 

9:30 AM: Dry canyoning practice for an hour and a half

At 9:30 AM, your guide will provide a demonstration to familiarize you with the essential techniques for canyoning. Following the demonstration, there will be a dry practice session, lasting approximately an hour and a half. Afterward, you’ll have a rest break before proceeding to the top of the canyon. During the demonstration, your guide will instruct you on the proper utilization of canyoning equipment, including harnesses, ropes, and rappelling gear. They will also teach you how to safely navigate various terrains, such as waterfalls, cliffs, and streams.

 

11:00 AM: Begin 50 – 60 minutes bush hike to the top of the canyon.

Once equipped with all your gear and finished your practice, you will proceed to the national park entry section, where you will purchase and present your entry permit. From there, embark on a captivating 30-40 minute bush hike to reach the pinnacle of the canyon. Along the way, immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the Sundarijal forest, taking in its breathtaking views. Your guide will lead you to the top, where you will be rewarded with the mesmerizing sight of the stunning Sundarijal waterfall.

 

12:00 AM: Gearing up for the real thing.

At approximately 12:00 AM, you will reach the designated location for the canyoning adventure. Your guide will efficiently set up the necessary equipment for canyoning. Once you feel comfortable, you will embark on the actual canyoning experience, immersing yourself in the thrilling adventure. The entire adventure will last approximately 4 to 5 hours and will include exploration of five distinct canyons, ranging in height from 20 meters to 40 meters. You will rappel, jump, swim, and climb your way through the canyons, enjoying the thrill of the adventure and the beauty of the natural surroundings. Upon completion, we will make our way back to the campsite.

 

4:30 PM: Back to camp.

At approximately 4:30 PM, you will make your way back to the camp, where you can change into comfortable clothing. Once you have freshened up, a hot and satisfying lunch awaits you. The meal includes a traditional Nepali dish called “Dal Bhat” along with your preferred choice of vegetables and non-vegetarian options. Savor the flavors of this delicious meal, accompanied by a variety of flavorful side dishes.

 

5:00 PM: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Return back to Kathmandu After a satisfying meal and a well-deserved rest, it’s time to bid farewell to the camp and head back to Kathmandu. At 5:00 PM, you have the option to hop on a bus from Sundarijal or let us arrange a private vehicle for a comfortable return journey. Reflect on the unforgettable canyoning adventure you’ve just conquered, cherishing the memories and the sense of accomplishment that will stay with you long after the journey ends.
